Hehe, someone at Westpac probably wondered why they had such a big bill for points last month!

Yep, same here. My 15,000 bonus points (that I should not have got) were also deducted today from my QFF account.

15000 Points taken back

My 15,000 were also taken back on the 7th Nov. I think there is something stinky going on since Qantas Revealed their new Credit Card QFF Points rules. I have been a QFF member for several years, and never before I had so many weird things happening to my account.

AMEX Westpac 15K credited then debited.

Another one is the AMEX offer of Unlimited points promotion which also smell like rat. Those who enrolled have been capped or excluded or subjectively changed to other promotions.

Ohhhhh I am so upset

paulpaul27,

I believe that you are being very liberal with this as what you have posted is only a partial truth. There are many people who have not had anything changed or capped from their original enrollment

Re: Free 15000 FF point suddenly from Earth

What do you know... a random 1000 points appeared in my account (and my better halves) dated 21st November from the Mastercard. Wasn't the monthly spend so its another "bonus".
I mean honestly what's going on at Westpac? If they try to take these back now I'm going to start getting a bit pissed.

I received a letter today from Earth Westpac apologising for the incorrect 15,000 points that were credited and then reversed to my QFF account.
The letter states that as they value their Earth cardholders, 'we would like to give you 1000 complimentary QFF points. It also says that the points will be credited to my QFF account by 26 November 2008.

It just so happens that my statement ended over the past couple of days and when I checked by QFF account, I have roughly 1000 more points than I should as per my spend for the past month, therefore I'm presuming that the complimentary points were added to the points I would have got from my last statement.
I did try to speak to somebody at Earth to see if they could confirm that my complimentary 1000 points were added into my last spend however after being transferred for 25 minutes from one CS officer to another to find an answer to my question I gave up and hung up.

Re: Free 15000 FF point suddenly from Earth

I must say that since swapping all my financing to Westpac about a year ago, I haven't been overly impressed with the levels of competence or customer service.

I haven't had any major issues with banks over the years, but at least generally you get a pretty good response if you raise something - Westpac seem to have a bit of a "we don't care" attitude, and they do stuff things up quite a bit.

Can't say I can bothered changing though - overall the Earth product is quite good. Perhaps its like the new Citibank, decent product but nothing to back it up.
