Re: Earth+ - Bonus 15,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points and Free QFF membership

Applied last Friday, received letter today stating that the card was ready. Quick trip down to Surry Hills (charming area...) and... an hour later (Westpac know how to be slow), had both cards in my hand. I'm not a Westpac customer so they just did the normal 100 points plus copied my last 3 payslips.

All in all quick and easy.

By your description with it being your wife, you are just pooling the points effectively for your joint and mutual use. You would already be sharing $$ so effectively her points are yours...and yours hers etc.....

My wife and I sign up for all these deals (and indeed some I do in her name without telling her...)....but I would never dream of suggesting to say my parents or siblings that they sign up and then transfer points to me.
Well yes we pool all the QFF points (and Citibank Visa points) to my account and we just use the points as needed for my family. It is more efficient that way. All our AMEX Ascent points now goes to her Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account and again it is all pooled to share amoungt the family.

We are just waiting for my Westpac home loan to be finalised before we can apply for those Earth+ card.

What's the earn rate per dollar for non-Qantas purchases? I see there's an extra point for qantas purchases.

One point per $ if you use the AMEX and
0.5 points per $ on the MasterCard.

I believe the extra point per $ for QANTAS product is only on the AMEX.

Yes lower than what you can get...so just grab the 15000 points.....but use other cards for earning on....particularly where you cannot use AMEX...ie use the Citibank free for life VISA at 1 point per $1

Re: Earth+ - Bonus 15,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points and Free QFF membership

i THINK ANZ Qantas Visa ofers 1:1, but has a ceiling of $1500/month for classic and $2500/month on gold and plat. AFter which i believe it's 1 point for every $2.

Can anyone better their program?
