Personally, I would prefer to take a daytime flight to SIN and sleep in a hotel (the airport transit hotel is good for early morning departures) and then take the daytime flight the following day.
You are referring to working the next where as I am referring to Scruns where the hotel option adds a little extra to the money spent for SC's. As for OneWorld flights early in morning I have not counted them but the are 7 CX flights SIN-HKG so some of them must be early and then there are the CX flights to CMB and India but I am not sure of the exact time of day without researching. At worst early morning gives me an LCC option out of SIN to where I want to go.

After most SYD/BNE/MEL/PER/ADL flights get into SIN there is only one viable option, AY, to BKK at ~10:00pm. Not just OneWorld but all carriers. Some flights at certain times of the year do not make this connection. Most night flights to BKK and HKG are over by ~8:00pm which are missed by most of Australian flights.

20 flight numbers from Oz to SIN arrive in a 4-5 hour window.

I realise now that I alone thought this was unreasonable service . I now formally ask the moderator to withdraw my thread.

The QF/BA flights continue on to LHR and are timed accordingly. SQ offers morning flights at 08:05 and 11:30 ex SYD and offer flight ex MEL at 00:50 and 10:10

Going ex PER, QF offers a flight at 11:25 which arrives in at 16:45 which would connect onto HKG with CX

For the fans of inexpensive DONEx fares the above PER flight will also connect with the CX flight SIN-CMB
at least on the days when CX HKG-CMB is routed through SIN.

For the alternate DONEx source, you can also connect with the AY flight to BKK and HEL. But the lounge gets rather boring after 4 or 5 hours.

Pity QF doesn't schedule a great deal else international (conveniently) from PER.

Happy wandering

Fred

Re: Why are there no QF flights to SIN after 5.00pm

I'll agree that it's frustrating the timing of QF flights from Australia to SIN, but I guess that's the rub of being a slave to the FFP (and a sign that they've done a good job of keeping us loyal when common sense would dictate taking another carrier instead). Personally I'd like them to have flights that got into SIN earlier, but can understand their real concern is getting folks to LHR/FRA, rather than servicing SIN itself.

For me, the benefits of the FF program outweigh getting to SIN a little earlier. If it didn't then I'm sure I'd be dusting off the Krisflyer card I've got gathering dust in a draw somewhere.

Re: Why are there no QF flights to SIN arriving before 6.00pm

.........And then it was gone.....

QF77 Perth - Singapore 1.15pm - 5.35pm

now replaced by

PER-SIN 4.40AM-9.00AM

Not sure how Qantas expect passengers to connect to their SIN-BOM code shares at 7.05PM. Diito for the 3K SIN-BKK flights at 18.50pm.

Shame though. I really liked that route (even with the recent Exmouth incident)

I think you will find that it will go back to normal once the incident aircraft returns to normal ops. They are a plane down.
