What's philippines airlines J class like?

I have to go to manila and philippines airlines seem to have some good deals in J. Prices seem to be cheap, almost too cheap...

Anyone flown with them recently?

Re: What's philippines airlines J class like?

I have only flown PR domestically in J class, on A330's and an A340 once, which I believe are the same aircraft they use internationally. IIRC, to/from MEL/SYD they use the A330.

Better than economy class on most airlines, after all it is a business class seat. Although for me, if the choice was with SQ economy, earning pts on * program, I'd be tempted to take the SQ economy. For QF to MNL - given that QF only fly a 767, I'd take PR J over QF Y (although if you could get a Y+ fare to HKG then connecting to MNL, it would be line ball).

The seats do have personal TV's with looped entertainment, and are not unlike domestic J in Australia, plenty of room but I would have thought not at all comfy for sleeping.

Service was friendly, but just not quite right (I can't put my finger on exactly why it wasn't quite right, just that it wasn't). Food - can't really compare domestic to international, I'm sure they have better internationally.

For the prices they offer, probably OK though.
