I was not insinuating they are paying cash for their fuel, I was simply asking the question.
I now know the rumour is not true.
Cheers

Perhaps a lesson to post this stuff from home in future rather than from a Qantas desk!
It's refreshing to find a Qantas employee bagging an airline other than Qantas!
Air: QFF Gold (LTS)
Hotel: A|Club: Gold, PC Plat, Hyatt GP: Plat, HH: Silver, SPG: Gold
Car: Avis preferred, Hertz #1 Club Gold
Like - have you forgotten to switch your bullsh*t filter on? How many suitcases stuffed full of notes would it take to fuel up a jet? There ain't a snowballs chance in hell anyone that big pays cash for fuel, or any airline gives that much cash to anyone to pay for it, or any fuel company allows employees to accept that much cash for anything.
Methinks you've been sniffing a tad too much Jet-A recently :-)
Thanks NM. It is a timely reminder to take everything you read in forums with a huge grain of salt. I even take what I write with a huge grain of salt.I suspect that there are others in addition to the OP in a similar situation. Maybe they post from home. I also hope this is an instance of an enthusiastic amateur rather than a concerted viral marketing campaign sanctioned from on high. If it is it will end in tears. In a cruise forum I participate one shipping line in the last few weeks was secretly offering forum members inducements to say nice things about the product and attack the opposition. If it comes to that these forums are of almost no value as places to exchange information and learn.
