yes, i think they are having trouble in alice springs with ground handlers etc, mabye thats why there fares are about $270 for the first 2 months, they also removed alice springs from the" sale fares" column a few days ago, and douled the price to $270, i think they are not TRYING to make it too obvoius but are obviously struggling with this airport, i also think that Alice springs wouldnt't be a huge route for demand, mmmmm, well anyways

I think that TT's only obligation in a case where they haven't received their AOC is to offer a refund for the fare paid.
Whether this is the only thing they do should they not get clearance is a different matter.
Like pauly7 I reckon you might be booked onto a DJ or JQ flight at TT's expense, if only to keep their reputation up.
Nothing's guarenteed though, and that's the risk that one takes when they book on an airline that isn't cleared to fly yet.
Keep in mind that they could still be cleared this week. OzJet were cleared on their first go, and considering the equipment they were running, it's possible for any reasonably professional outfit to be cleared.

They are doing them now. Sydney Airport Message Board :: View topic - Tiger Airways On ACARS
They need to do a lot more than one. It not like a car where you take it 10km down the road and see if the brakes work. ABC TV this morning had an interesting show about a LCC (in Indonesa I think)
thats not very fair
aussies are parituclar and i have seen pics from the interior of there sing planes, the seats are all corroded
ewe
also the standards of maintenance over there isn't the best, these planes would have most likely been throught those mantenace places, and lets hope they havn't stapled wires togerther in these planes
