Qantas has applied to the International Air Services Commission for the right to operate additional services to the United Kingdom.
Qantas executive general manager John Borghetti said the new flights, if approved, would increase Qantas services to the UK from 21 to 28 per week over the next two years, including flights via Hong Kong for the first time.
The additional seven services would include four via Hong Kong and three via Singapore.
Mr Borghetti said if the application was successful Qantas would operate 17 services to the UK each week via Singapore, seven via Bangkok and four via Hong Kong.
On the basis that I work for a company which will pay for BA WT+ as a maximum level of travel, I would appreciate QF introducing the same concept.
Extra flights are welcome, including a connection from HK to London.
