QC complimentary invitation

Hello,
Husband and I aren't members, lifetime member of Ansett!!
We are flying to Venice on Nov. 7 but will have at least a 6 hour wait at Tullamarine before our midnight flight. Our daughter, a gold member, has given us a comp. pass to the lounge but that means one of us (husband) will have a long, tiring wait! Would anyone be prepared to part with a comp. pass for an appropriate fee? As we don't fly much these days membership seems very expensive for a once off use of the lounge. Hoping someone has a card sitting in their wallet!
Kind Regards, Meg

Re: QC complimentary invitation

You could try ebay.com.au. I've seen some QP vouchers sold on there quite regularly. This particular auction closes in less than 24 hours: eBay.au: ***2 BUSINESS CLASS LOUNGE INVITATIONS (QANTAS CLUB)*** (item 160029347809 end time 17-Sep-06 22:12:35 AEST)

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by posting this information here. I know these complimentery vouchers could be a cause of the increasing riff raff people are commenting on seeing in QP.

Thanks Wiz, I'll follow those cards on ebay, they didn't have a valid until end of .........
We wouldn't have a problem visiting the lounge, a very presentable couple if I may say so.
Thanks again, Meg

Perhaps post further details about when you will be there, and someone might be able to take you in

Re: QC complimentary invitation

Or join the QC - or upgrade to business - or wait in the public areas like 99 %of others.

I thought that nowadays 99% are in the QP, 1% in the terminal lounge

Very true Odoherty....and it's mainly because of all the corporates who get in on the cheap.

Agreed. The corporate rates are disgustingly cheap... too cheap IMHO

Re: QC complimentary invitation

Look, I hope the lady and her husband get into the QP, but it seems to me that if you're flying off to Venice for a bit of R & R (and it sounds like they're retired "we don't travel much") why not just relax, go to the bar, chill out.

I mean the lady has just joined FF.com - and 2nd post is about comps to the QP.

The whole idea of the QP is that it offers those who want to pay (through membership, flight class) or those who earn the priveledge, something a little better than a bum-numbing seat and lining up for a coffee in the terminal.

I know it sounds harsh, but I don't really care. I work hard and have to pay for most of the extras I get.

Pacblue.
