Qantas launches iPhone site [merged]

Quote:
Qantas has launched a version of its website designed for the Apple iPhone.

The site would allow iPhone-users to view the timetables of Qantas and Jetstar flights, Qantas spokeswoman Jamila Gordon said in a statement today.

Ooh - wonder if they will have a matching app and/or is it just a version of the website designed for viewing on iPhone safari (so iPod touch users can use it).

Its a subsection of the website as far as I know, although it is supposed to detect the iPhone when it is used, as distinct from other mobile devices.

It works via safari, although it has the "feel" of an application, if that makes any sense. Works on my iphone & my ipod touch.

Has 5 headings, so a bit limited in its scope, but nice to use. Good if you want to know about:
Arrivals
Departures
Timetables
Lounges
Contacts

Anything apart from that, and you'll need the regular website.

PS. simongr, the applications should work on your ipod touch, but you'll need the new software download.
