I travel quite frequently internationally and try to fly Qantas or affliates but am not so pedantic that I will not shop for a good deal. Only problem I've got used to the lounge access. Has anyone used Priority Pass? Is it worth the money? Are the lounges any good and what lounges are they?
Any information would be gratefully received.

It really depends on where you frequent. The lounges range in quality, some are airline lounges, while some are airport lounges.

I've tried some of them, most are pleasant enough. They're comparable to QF lounges. Showers aren't always available though.

Take a look at the cities/airports covered. If you trave;'s covered. it CERTAINLY is worthwhile.

I am a former airline staffer who travelled the world regularly in business & first class, but had no access to lounges - this was my colution.

I did a deal with my boss (who rrightly refused to pay for the membership) who agreed to pay me the equiv. of single entry fees where I would otherwise have been entitled to a hotel room and for my own convenience, chose to freshen up in the Priority Club lounge.

Work it through with your boss.

Lounges certainly vary in size and available amenities/services. But they're up-front about it and give you a detailed membership guide when you join.

They're run by ICLP which are a very reputable organisation who runloyalty programmes for many travel suppliers and airlines.

I have a Priority Pass (Complimentary One), about the only time I use it is to grab a shower in HK (although you can simply pay cash) when transiting to/from Dragon/Qantas which have no shower facilities in their lounges.

I do note they seem to lounges leave their programme occasionally.

The joint Qantas/BA lounge at HKG does have showers in the business class lounge section. I don't think there are any in the First Class section at the back of the J lounge.

But the problem is getting access if traveling on DragonAir since DragonAir is not a OneWorld member. Technically you can only use the OneWorld lounges when departing on a OneWorld flight. Connecting back the other way, when departing on QF, would not be a problem, and if you are a OneWorld Sapphire or Emerald status member, then you have access to the CX Pier and Wing lounges where one can have a bath instead of a shower if you like!

Dont forget that Diners have free lounge access although not in HK anymore, depending on where you go in Asia if you have a Diners you might get better value out of being a casual user of the lounges rather than buying an annual pass. Noticed that the showers also tend to be a bit busier at the PP lounges - espcially with HK in the evening but same can be said for the average QF club in HK - take me to the wing or pier lounges anyday!
