Do you have any status with chains?

What sort of budget are you looking at - I recently stayed at the JW Marriott about HKD2700/night and have a stay at the Conrad booked for Sep and Nov - about HKD3200/night...

I havent found many hotels with wireless internet

What budget are you looking at ? if your in the $150-200 AUD then i may be able to offer some advise.

As for wireless internet you would be amazed that a lot of hotels in Singapore may charge $30 a day for internet and you can walk down to starbucks and sign up for a free singtel wireless account and get it for free !!! Really crazy situation.

Sinagpore

my memory isnt that good with respects to wireless availability (as I tend not to connect up in the hotel after being connected all day in the office) but I think the M Hotel in the Tanjong Pagar district had it!

Basic room around SGD 260

Hotel is ok, newish rooms, clean and gives OW bonus points

Best value hotel in Singapore is the Royal Plaza on Scotts.

Just renovated and completely non-smoking hotel.

It is opposite the Hyatt and near the corner of Orchard Rd and Scotts Rd.

Last time I was there, i paid $228 SGD +++, with free brekkie for 2, free drinks in the mini bar (2 beers, 3 soft drinks, 2 bottles of water replenished daily), free wireless.

It's new, clean, great location, and has the best inclusions... what more could you want

You could try wandering around Tripadvisor.com to check comments from travellers.

If frequent stay program allegiance isn't a concern - go for the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore. Fab property.

Raffles Plaza in Singapore is great: nice pool, excellent gym, spa. Across the road from the real Raffles. The Swisotel is in the same complex as the Raffles Plaza, and has access to the same pool and gym, but the rooms are meant to be cheaper. Good location.

Re: hotel suggestions hongkong and singapore

I have just booked accom in Spore with MHotel under the following deal

Business Hotels Singapore | Business Travel Packages at Millennium and Copthorne

basically - bed, breakfast & broadband from SGD$165 (depending on which Millennium hotel booked)

worth checking to see if it fits your needs

edit: doesnt mention anything about wireless, however I know the M Hotel does have wireless!

Rendevouz Hotel is very good value in Singapore and well located as well! As for wireless, most of the hotels are located near the free WIFI service now being promoted by Singapore!
