Hi random101 and welcome to AFF.

Given the recent boogie board "incident", I suspect many members wouldn't be enthusiastic to comply with your request. However being an avid skier/ snowboarder myself, I understand your reluctance to depart with your favorite 4 legs.

Considering it will probably be more expensive to hire skiis on your upcoming (I presume) ski trip, wouldn't it be better to borrow money to have the skiis shipped?

IMHO (in my humble opinion) it doesn't matter if your sister, her baker or designer dressmaker was there to greet me. Have a look at "this question just has to be asked" thread to get some perspective. However there's nothing wrong with asking questions and I'd be happy if someone was prepared to help you out.

I believe there is a "living in melbourne" or something forum. Perhaps ask there? A spot of cash and an offer of something could induce someone to lend you their skiis?

Just a thought. Good luck!

It's easy to learn about the correct spelling just by consulting google.

cpl, give random101 a bit of leeway - they're German and English is their second language. Yes, I agree that they could have easily done a google search, but not everybody does what we'd do...

Ich wette, daß ihr Englisch besser als mein Deutscher ist, nicht wahr random101
