2004 flying...a Year in Review

He is refering to a promotion last year by the StarAlliance that permitted a status match of your OneWorld (and probably other programs) status in the *A program. *G was meaning Star Gold status level, which is their alliance-wide status providing many benefits such as lounge access and upgrades etc.
