Re: FT AGM notice 23rd February

Well, I have committed a SIN and am going straight to HEL (not via FRA though because I might need my bag )! The soft side of me has seen me splurge and I'm going to CBR via SYD in March next year overnight. I decided to ditch my TSV weekend so I go to the FT AGM. Total cost was $272 for 40 SC's or about $6.80 per SC. I just noticed though that if I picked ADL instead, I could have got there for $297 return at 50 SC's or $5.94 per SC. Better value than ROK but that's for another day.

Ok, I'm really obsessed now! Serfty, stop encouraging me.

At least I am not being blamed for this one

Umm - what actually happens at the AGM? Is it just a gathering of FTers at a QP?

Lots of sharing of experiences. Putting faces to names. Jokes, laughter and general fun.

The early ones seemed to end up with large stash of empty beer glasses around us, but in more recent times the beverage and food consumption has been extremely restrained and responsible. Many of the attendees are local so need to drive home.

Sometime a few will kick on at a local restaurant/pub.

I'll be away in the middle of my DONE4 when this occurs... *cries*

That is one of the few acceptable excuses for missing an AGM .

Re: FT AGM notice 23rd February

I notice over on FT, moa999 or Aubs & DUF (FT) here is on QF175 for the AGM. I was thinking I might fly down late Friday night (QF555 is still cheap) and catch QF175 back in the hope of a brekky at the FLounge (providing Aubs will guest me in?). What does one think of this plan and is anyone else keen on joining in. Mal, you know you want to?? The only thing is it seems a bit early but hey, I'm keen for anything.

Oh dear, I have the bug!

I did post over @ FT that I wasn't going to do this... but yeah am considering it (overnight down on 555/back on 175). $193 for the fare. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions! Only issue I see is the 4 hour wait around before 3pm. Maybe another small trip somewhere to kill the time

Re: FT AGM notice 23rd February

I have indicated a bronze availability for the event - I might add it to a DONE4 if I have to go to NY in late january - get QF174 up, lunch with friends and a 6PM flight home...
