Am going to Vanuatu in April. Has anybody stayed at the Sunset Bungalows? Is if easy to get into town from there and also is it easy to get to the casino.

Do they offer massage service there also

Sorry, we stayed at Iririki in 2003 which was fantastic! (not helpful sorry)

is it easy to get to the casino.

It's a pretty small and unimpressive casino btw The only redeeming factor for me was winning quite a few $ on roulette!

Its easy to get anywhere in Vila but not necessary fast. They have a bus (minibus) system that doesn't have specific routes. Passengers are picked up by the road and then dropped off in order. Cost is VT150 I think. Stand on the side of the road that the traffic is going in the direction of your destination and flag the bus down. Although if you get it wrong the first bus will tell you to cross the road and pick up one on the other side.

In town there are a set stops where people congregate for buses and group themselves according to their destinations. We just asked people standing on a corner if this was a bus stop and immediately someone asked where we were going and indicated the group that was heading or direction. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Le Meridien where the Casino is located but only visited the casino once. Not very inspiring, imagine casino games in a somewhat deserted country town RSL.

I would estimate Sunset Bungalows to be about 3-4 kms from casino. I found the heat made me very tired when I tried long walks, particularly if up and down a few hills (casino is down a hill that's very tough going back up.)
