How does Priority Club Priority Check-In work? I've just ticked over to Gold status and I've found myself in some stupidly long queues when checking in the last couple of times.

    Chrisb.
At hotels with a lounge, you can check-in at the lounge. I was directed to the lounge for check-in at the CP in Kuala Lumpur and at the IC in Miami recently.

Where there is no lounge, I think it is just matter of joining the queue.

Most hotels don't seem to have priority check-in so it makes no difference.

Off the top of my head, can't even think of one that does.

No priority check-in at Rooty Hill.... although you never need to queue to check-in anyway.

    Re: Priority Club Priority Check-In

Several properties I've stayed at have a blue sign (looks like your membership card) on one end of the check in counter for priroity club members to register. In reality I usually find it faster just to join a queue. I do get my Priority Card out and and make sure it's easy to see - this has resulted in me being 'called over' by other staff members or directed to the club level for check in.

As Plat Priority Club members, at IC in Singapore last month - a staff member was waiting for us (at the front door) and escorted us to our room for a personal check in - very nice touch. Converesly, the night before we stayed at IC Burswood and, although they do have priority club check in - every body was using this desk as it was the only one operating. Line of 3 people but took 25 minutes to check in!

The rooms on the executive floor are OK - have recently been renovated and getting closer to what you would expect of a HI. The standard rooms are only average.

The restaurant has a limited selection of meals.

But... there is always the RSL next door - particularly on karaoke night... good for a laugh

I stayed in Melbourne the other night and once they identified me the priority checkin breezed me through. They had CC and details all recorded and handed me the key and drinks invite and pointed me onwards. Almost too quick to catch my breath.

    Excellent
    cheers,
    Bill.
