Donate some to charity ... it's costs nothing (other than the loss of at least 1000 miles) and extends account validity for another 1½ years.

I'm a first time poster, so please excuse if I get the protocol wrong.
My daughter has 150,000 United points in UA Mileage Plus. She has no immediate plans to go to USA. The points are ageing, and they expire at some use-by date. Can anyone advise a simple way for someone resident in Australia to keep the points alive?
Thanks,
Richard Olive

Hotel stay, car hire or maybe even purchasing a small amount of miles.
It is a shame United is not participating in Live Search Club.
I've been keeping my United miles alive for quite a while by donating miles to a charity via the internet . I've also done a transfer but that costs money!
To keep your United miles current you can use and earn miles on any Star Alliance Partner. I've just flown on Singapore Airlines with my United miles so you don't have to go to the States.
You can also redeem for a return trip to New Zealand or South Pacific. e.g. 20k for a return trip in economy to NZ or 20k to Tahiti.
See the reward chart and use the ANA tool to find availability.
