LH miles now redeemable for travel on Virgin Blue

From the August Miles and More Newsletter:

Quote:
Give the gift of flight - a Virgin Blue flight!

For the first time since 2001, Miles and More members can use their accrued mileage for travel within Australia!

Members can now purchase Virgin Blue Gift Vouchers which are valid on Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue flights sold in Australian dollars. The vouchers, starting at 23,000 miles, are multi-use and fully transferable to any person. Vouchers are easily redeemed through the Mileagestore website. Fly away today with Lufthansa and Virgin Blue!

Hmm I'm not sure if I want to spend my hard earned miles on DJ though!

Re: LH miles now redeemable for travel on Virgin Blue

Got an email about this yesterday, I think I can get beter value from spending my miles elsewhere. Eg 23,000 miles for a $100 vouncher, or 50,000 miles to upgrade from Business to First flying LAX to FRA. I know what I'd choose.
