I think Tiger did put some 5-10 seconds TV ads on commercial TV in Melb from time to time....
At this stage Tiger did have the least flight route axe then JQ, in comparison DJ prices aren't exactly at the same level as TT and JQ, so can't really say DJ is a true LCC here...

DJ's standard fares have crept up to almost the QF level on a lot of routes.

Unless you book well ahead the DJ fares are often dearer than QF.
Normally the on the routes I book (PER-MEL), DJ is a handful of dollars less than QF. One bottle of wine on the flight and I am ahead by going with QF! I always have a look, but the only time they seem to have much of a price advantage is during sales.
Could be that they are more expensive on other routes.
