Which cabin are you booked in? If economy, then seems normal for that route
BNE-LAX is a 2 class service and economy starts at row 26, with rows 26-28 being in zone B ( behind business and in front of the 2nd door

I've been allocated seat 28k on an upcoming Bris-LAX flight, and as far as I can tell from looking at all the Qantas aircraft seat layouts (from the Qantas website) ... this seat doesn't exist.
Every layout I've looked at the seats end from 26 (business class) and start again at 34 (economy).
Does anyone know where this seat actually is?
could it be part of the new premium economy fitout?

Normally QF175 BNE-LAX is operated by a 2 class 747-400.
Looking at the seat map (56 Business; 356 Economy), http://www.qantas.com.au/infodetail/...44-56J356Y.pdf , 28K does exist in the small Economy cabin after Business.
BTW, Welcome to AFF!
Thanks for the replies and welcome.
I found the seat on that pdf, so that's fine.
However, 28k doesn't look like a particularly great seat, especially since I appear to have the two seats next to me occupied.
Should I bother asking for a seat with lots of spare room at the back of the plane? I'm not concerned about rushing through customs, as my connecting flight to Vegas isn't for 4 hours after I land.
SeatGuru has a warning for that seat based around it's proximity to the toilets, and because that row is missing a window.
SeatGuru Seat Map Qantas Airways Boeing 747-400 Longreach 2-Class (744)
I'm not sure that it is missing a window, plus the Qantas map doesn't indicate the missing window, but been a while since I've been on that type of plane
If you call Qantas they should be able to move you to a seat you prefer more. Some people don't really like back of the plane seats as they perceive more turbulence there, but that's an individual thing.
