G'day folks,

wondering if anyone's got the email from Jetstar re: the sale tonight. It appears (from many experiences with Jetstar's emails with link to the sale), that their email reaches me about a day after the sale's over. I think it's my email provider that's slow.

Is it possible to post the email/link here as soon as anyone gets it?

Seriously Jetstar, For $36 Jetstar dollars, i guess i wouldnt expect much more, but mabye some "better" routes than these crap "boring" routes

Clearly Jetstar shoudl at least offer baggage, otherwise just add 10bucks and it works out vertially normal price!

BTW, I've also not yet received the Jetmail email. Must still be floating in Cyberspace somewhere. Perhaps Jetstar needs to either subscribe to anti-spam blocking features like DomainKeys or upgrade their email blast servers.

Although as pointed out by imapringle, the prices aren't all that good for the routes offered and day trips on higher frequency routes aren't that easy (due to blocked morning flights)!

They are also having problems with listing the correct cities in the origin/destination menus. (Their latest updates now allow an attempt to book MEL-SYD! AND you are just stuck if you are already in NTL or north of BNE!)

Actually, finding the website to be surprisingly responsive at the moment. Am able to price out tickets to both Rockhampton and Mackay. Can't be bothered with Newcastle

Maybe people have given up. Just don't try and access the Jetstar webpage directly via www.jetstar.com or www.jetstar.com.au at the moment as they are still quite broken.

Gone to molasses again. I presume Qld'ers who aren't smart enough to realise the Jetstar sale started at 8pm DST time (not Qld time) are all eagerly trying to get their seat.

Thinking about a Brisbane-Mackay one Saturday, even though the route doesn't really excite me.

They may be attempting to fix the following (after their approx8.30 half hearted update attempt) -

Your origin can still only be – Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart, Melbourne, Geelong (marketed as Melbourne AVV) or Sydney! (Poor people of Mackay, Rockhampton, Newcastle & Launceston, not going anywhere fast!)

Selecting Melbourne (MEL) as "origin" still lists an option for Sydney "destination" but nothing for Hobart.

And the website has come good again. Decided a day trip to Mackay for $78 return (including credit card fee) was appropriate for a Sat in October. Think I'll pop up for a drive around the local area and some fresh fish'n'chips Havn't been to Mackay for around a year, so will be interesting to see what's changed.

Last year they had a similar sale; the Gold Coast Titans scored 18 points (Jetstar Titans special offer).

For $40 I booked a day trip to HBA ($2 cc charge each way) - to date they have been my only Domestic JQ flights.

Interestingly, that sale was on 9am-12 noon.
