    AirAsia X where to seat

    Hi everyone,

I am planning to travel to Malaysia from Melbourne using AirAsia X. Does anyone know which economy seats has more leg room? The back? I looked at the seating layout after partially booking over the internet and found heaps of bulkhead seats. The question from here will be whether those seats are close to the toilets? Cause if it is, i rather stay away.

    Please share your experience. Thanks

Re: AirAsia X where to seat

I have just recently flown with Air Asia and hope this can help.

Rows 8 and 15 both bulkheads have the best leg room, prob 15 is the better option and would say either C or H would be the best seats around. The toilets are located up the very front, just behind row 33 and at the very back of the aircraft. So if you stay away from anywhere near row 33 you should be fine.

Something we learnt when we were going over was that the flight attendants don’t really care if you get up and change seats as everyone was getting up and changing seats. On the way back there was 6 of us travelling KUL-OOL and at check in we asked if we could be all seated together but the check in agent said not possible as flight was full and the 6 of us were scattered around the plane. After we boarded and got to our relevant seats we noticed that there were quite a few rows of seats still vacant and then heard the doors close and could see the stairs be taken away. We asked one of the crew if we could move to a row each and her reply was 'if you don’t someone else will' so all 6 of us had 3 seats to our self’s and all near each other. SO after you board have a look around for empty seats and as soon as the doors close venture out.

The other thing to take note of is that if you pre-book your meals they will offer your meal not long after take off but they do offer another meal service later on at a more decent lunch time. There were allot of people complaining as they were starving as they decided to eat their lunch at 1030.

    Hope you enjoy your flight.

    M

Thanks that helps a lot. Do you know why on row 15, eventhough it is classified as hot seats, there are seats immediatly up the front (row 14)?

Also, do you know what is in the center? Between 15C and 15H?

Row 15 is one of the emergency exit rows, heaps of room but be carefull not to select one of the window seats as the door does restrict some of the leg room. From memory there is no seats between C and H

Groan, I booked 35H for my OOL-KUL next week. Hopefully toilets aren't too stinky

Am I right in assuming that there is a crew jump seat in front of 8J?

Not quite sure. I know row 8 i sthe start of economy with the XL seats in front of them in rows 1-7. Row 8, being a bulkhead, had not that much more leg room than standard seats.

Hi gents, I'm new here be gentle We are flying to KL in September, with 9 years old, people have flown with AirAsia question is to you, may we lift up the armrest between seats? and I have pre-booked row 47 as it is double seat not a triple, and I assume that it will have a bit wider seats, am I wrong? the other thong I'm flying back along a bit later a have booked originally 8C for my-self, and then changed to 15C, have I made a correct decision or row 8 was a better option?
    Thank you

I did the Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur trip recently - I must admit I did not pay much attention to details like bulkheads - the plane was quite large, so I only noticed the really obvious things

I would say the exit rows are your best bet or the window seats of the 2x2 section (bear in mind that you will be have one person next to you blocking the aisle

    are you going by yourself?

    Oh and more info at

http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/comm...ked-17388.html (XL seats - Air Asia - booked but inquiring minds need more info)

One other thing - On my flight there was only one meal service

Hiya - can only base this on my flight

On the way there - yes you can pull up the armrest, no the seats are not wider, there aisle is wider, and there is more gap between the window seat itself and the window (if that makes sense) - meaning you can lounge around a bit more

On the way back no idea sorry
