WTF?? Are they screwing with me? Balance transfer + points?

Hi yall

Spoke to Citibank just then and im thinking im being screwed.

1st Their ONLINE BALANCE TRANSFER doesnt seem to be working.
2nd Customer Service was quoting me 18.5%pa for Balance transfers
3rd Then when i drilled her more she said oh will i can still do it for you o on the 6.9%pa but no rewards points.

Now.

Ive got a gold card and i was under the impression when they sold the deal to me that my balance transfers are PERMANENTLY @6.9%pa and earns rewards points!

However the special 4.9% balance transfers they had would not accrue any rewards points.

Now im being told the STANDARD rate is 18.50% on Balance transfers and that the 6.9%pa was a "special rate offered when you opened your account"
then she "oh well because you recently opened your account i could still do that for you"
then when i told her the special was 4.9% she said"i could do that"

WTF???

I want my Balance transfers with REWARDS POINTS @6.9%pa.

6.9%pa i thought was our standard rate for all balance transfers permanently on Gold cards

Are they screwing me?

They "screw" us all!

I've found, that you have to "screw" them back, in order to get what you want.

Tell them, that if you don't get the 6.9% etc. ... you will close the account.

The best deal I've had from CB, is 6.9%pa & 2:1 balance transfer points.

But they weren't going to 'give' it to me without asking / pushing the point.

"screw" 'em for all you can get!!!

regards,

Didn't they change the rules a few months ago so that nobody gets points for balance transfers? Please let us know if you manage to get any points from a balance transfer.

also if u do balance transfer requests through their website you will be hit at the ~18% rate instead of any promotional rate they may advertise on the front page.

so make sure that if you use this feature you do it with an offer or coupon!
