Yeh.. I thought so. Not sure how it compares to a normal 'discount economy' SYD-HKG, but I know PER-HKG is normally $1050 (at the cheapest, on sale) so the price for the VA flight is good.

$1300-1400 is generally about the discount whY price on QF from SYD/MEL from what i have seen. So its a good deal for sure.

Given it includes taxes, thats an awesome price.

If you book a SYD-LON return on VS in K class, its $5175 pl 616.38 taxes, but if you split it up and book the 1538 inc tax fare to HKG, HKG-LON is only 1682 pl 549.5 taxes making it a total fare of 3771 in premium.

Im tempted myself.

Flew this time last year. I booked SYD-HKG (around $1400INC for PE this time last year) and then did BA from HKG-LHR in WT+ ($1500 inc return)

So managed to get to London all in Premium economy for under $3k.... plus I upgraded the BA legs to club with my BA miles....

Back ontot topic.... I thought the Virgin PE was much better than BA's WT+, having flown that heaps when I lived in London.

Service was great, food was better than economy, got priority check in.... nice seat etc etc

Re: Virgin Atlantic - SYD-HKG Premium Economy

Im thinking the same thing ANSTAR, I can get BA Club for $3400 HKG-LON so for just over 5 I can do PE to HKG and J to Lon..good deal.

NZ also have PE from HKG-LON for around 1600.

And here I am, a travel agent for more years than I care to admit, and ive just been booking myself J point to points up until now.

Do VS offer any lounge access for PE Pax in Syd/Hkg?

If you flew BA J HKG-LON wouldn't you then just be able to access the CX lounges?

I think he means Ex SYD (ie SYD-HKG) and on return Ex HKG (HKG-SYD)
He wouldnt get BA lounges access for those.

Unforutnately you dont get lounge access with Virgin PE - only priority check in.
