Is it just me or is 77W quicker than the usual QF flights?

Wonder what happened to VA3-VA6?
I got a different timetable!

Re: V-Australia International Sale(s)

I contacted VInternational about these fare conditions and was told that the maximum baggage allowance for 2 baggs was 25kg, and 7 kg for carry on. I think alot of passengers will get slugged with extra baggage charges when they checkin to fly home from LAX.

Those of us who are used to travelling on Qantas are familiar with 64kg over 2 bags.

Not everything is always what it seems.

Hmm, not too sure about that. People are responsible to check the website for baggage rules before they fly. Eg:

V Australia > Checked and Excess Baggage
V Australia > Carry-on Baggage

If they choose to fly without reading the Terms/Conditions attached to a ticket/website, I have no sympathy for them being charged for excess luggage.

Re: V-Australia International Sale(s)

Does anyone know what seat pitch they have the V aircraft configured and how that compares to others operating that route?

Their seat descriptions, including pitch, is available on the V-Australia web site.

Economy is described as 18.8" wide and 32" pitch with 6" of recline.
Premium Economy is described as 20" wide, 38" pitch with 9" recline.
Business Class is described as 77" legroom, fully flat 6'2" horizontal bed.

Re: V-Australia International Sale(s)

Compares to QF i guess, maybe QF is 31" in whY.
777 a little wider than the 747's. The QF A380's should also be a little wider in whY.

That is 1 in more than Qantas in pitch and also a wider seat.

I was mainly concerned that the lower fares come at the expense of seat pitch.

Qantas would argue that their "Slim-Line" economy seats provide additional leg-room over traditional economy seats. But of course we don't know how slim the V-Australia seat wil be because they don't have any aircraft delivered yet.

Re: V-Australia International Sale(s)

Greetings All,

Wondering if anyone can advise re the V Promo fares. Are they available, if so when, cost, etc - is there only one or a handful allocated to each flight, is it genuine or just a gimmick?

Appreciate your help.

Re: V-Australia International Sale(s)

Why not just do a dummy booking and find out?

I did, so I know the answer.
