I contacted VInternational about these fare conditions and was told that the maximum baggage allowance for 2 baggs was 25kg, and 7 kg for carry on. I think alot of passengers will get slugged with extra baggage charges when they checkin to fly home from LAX.
Those of us who are used to travelling on Qantas are familiar with 64kg over 2 bags.

Hmm, not too sure about that. People are responsible to check the website for baggage rules before they fly. Eg:

Their seat descriptions, including pitch, is available on the V-Australia web site.
Economy is described as 18.8" wide and 32" pitch with 6" of recline. Premium Economy is described as 20" wide, 38" pitch with 9" recline. Business Class is described as 77" legroom, fully flat 6'2" horizontal bed.

I was mainly concerned that the lower fares come at the expense of seat pitch.
Qantas would argue that their "Slim-Line" economy seats provide additional leg-room over traditional economy seats. But of course we don't know how slim the V-Australia seat wil be because they don't have any aircraft delivered yet.
Wondering if anyone can advise re the V Promo fares. Are they available, if so when, cost, etc - is there only one or a handful allocated to each flight, is it genuine or just a gimmick?
