Might be an error in Tiger's system, which produces some low prices ex PER in this case. The taxes say "$0", so its around $70~ each way, via Singapore of course..or you could just do a no-show for the SIN-PEN-SIN route and still get to Singapore return for that price
Travel dates seem to be scattered up to March2010.
And if you want to travel to Kuching from Singapore, you can do so for $1 including tax on their current sale.
Just booked PER-SIN-PEN-SIN-PER for Sept, total cost $143.16 (incl "convenience fees").
Surely this has got to be hard to beat.
This is even better than JQ letting one pax on their half price deal.
Stryker, were any of the four legs on a A319? Just curious..
Super cheap fares though it kind of blows my fare out to get to the Perth step off point. Penang itself isn't in my opinion worth the additional cost of getting to Perth but is a great deal for those in the region to head off for a few days. Tiger seems to have a few good deals from time to time attractive to perth locals. Cheaper to go for a beer at Slippery Sinoritas than down the Rocks, got to love that.
Oooh nice ... but taxes only seem to be <$100 each way anyway.
Can someone please clarify the remark of having flight canceled if not on Penang leg, or the JQ 2 for 1 deal - and if they do play that hard, is there a counter trick. Can you get off at the first landing point?
And I don't think its a mistake. Tiger needs to keep a presence, as MAS abolished routes, replaced by Air Asia - and Malaysia television and media is swamped by 'we must be crazy' airline ads.
The cost to getting to Perth to catch one of these fares is expensive, together with luggage and taxis - more expensive than the $79 to Darwin deals that once existed.
You could do a one-way PER-PEN and hop off in SIN @ $70.. no problems there, and they dont connect luggage through either, so another plus.
For the return sector mabye, you could always catch a MH/AK/3K/TR flight to/from PEN-SIN-PEN for $25+ to meet up with the Penang connection back to PER to be on the safe side perhaps?
On the flip side, SIN-KCH is also available for $140 return...
