Fantastic prices. I've gone ahead and booked MEL-HKG-LHR-SIN-MEL for $1500 all in.

Funny that the prices should just appear today, with no promotion by Qantas about it. Maybe it's to compete with the Singapore sale?

I would say that is more than likely the case.

It does seem funny though, to be competing with someone but not promote your competitive product. Perhaps we're the ones doing all the promotion for them?

There has been some PR and press but no advertising I have seen yet.

Probably just relying on people comparing and TA's always see everyones fares anyway so Singapore are infact paying for QF's advertising in a way!

If they were caight on the hop with the SQ fares, and decided to match, they may not have had time to get advertising copy ready and through the approval process (commerical, legal etc.).

Now just gotta book the rest of the route LHR-CDG-CFE-CDG-LHR

this is off topic but is 3 and a half hours enough to clear customs in London and get from a British Airways flight onto an Air France flight?

According to Best Frights:

Can you book for Tokyo online or would you need to speak to an agent to arrange stopovers?
