I'm off to Osaka on 29 Oct to visit friends for a week. $5 each way + CC fee + fuel fines and taxes. Total $359.75.

markh, I'd recommend going to Osaka then catch a train to Kyoto.

Yep. I'm off to Osaka and Tokyo for work. I'm a bit upset I missed out on these fares having booked OOL-KIX just a few days before the sale was announced but I'm not taking another staff member booked at these great prices and he has decided to pay for his wife to come along.

We will take the train straight to Kyoto from KIX I think. Kyoto is really lovely and very historic and I didnt have enough time to see it properly last time as I was a bit sick. I'm not a huge fan of Osaka itself. I will have to come back to Osaka to fly hom after attending the show we are exhibiting at in Tokyo and I will schedule the only meeting I need to have in Osaka for that last day.

I was checking the train timetables today and its about 70 mins or so from KIX to Kyoto and after a day sightseeing in Kyoto we will continue on the following day via the shnikansen to Tokyo.

Cheers

I'd recommend more time in Kyoto, rather than Tokyo. Tokyo is cool for shopping and nightlife, but you can't beat Kyoto for the cultural experience.

Agreed but I'm there for work, not fun, and my work is in Tokyo and Osaka. I can just squeeze in a side trip to Kyoto on the weekend.

Re: Jetstar's International Sale(s)!

Looks like each state got their City email...They should promote their direct service ex MEL on sale, rather than the horrible MEL-DRW-DPS service.....

Not such a big deal.

They're only mimicking Virgin Blue (DJ).

Who'd you rather fly (I Know who I would), the price is the same.
