I just booked a round trip PER-SIN-PER for December for AUD 329 all-in.

I noticed that Tiger's fares for the same period were in the stratosphere (several hundred dollars dearer). I wonder if they'll match these fares?

Oh, and even better, you get to use SIN Terminal 1 rather than that horrible Budget terminal that Tiger uses.

Re: Jetstar's International Sale(s)!

How come, from Australia, there have been no *deals*/sales to Asia on for the month of December yet?

Even regular trips with Airasia, JQ, and Tiger - going out- are all expensive, or not available, yet? The 2 for 1 sales that were on last year at this time have not come round again.

I know people booking on SG,EK and Royal Brueni ,because the newcomers are keeping their (Australian) forward seat blocks closed/tight. By comparison, sale fares inter asia at prices unchanged from a year ago, and readily available, now, for Dec. The planes that were slashed off KUL and Japan should be redeployed?

The other thing is that JQ online says sold out for its cheapie fares, yet I see 'HOW ' and other fares showing - so I guess they hope plenty of fools still in the game.

Re: Jetstar's International Sale(s)!

Its seems to me that although jetstar have regular sales during the year the months of May and November are when they tend to have the heavily discounted fares eg take a friend sale. Last year 1st august they had a sale just like the current one eg syd - hnl $399.00 then in november the sale it was only $299.00 each way.

Re: Jetstar's International Sale(s)!

Nothing funny about it all - like the above poster, we circle calendars and use intelligence. Had Tiger marketing been smart, they would ambushed J*, and had a few days to their own. Instead the smarties at JQ put it back a day, in anticipation.

A surprise is Bali - More expensive than Japan, but closer -and from somewhere "We advise you to reconsider your need to travel to Indonesia, including Bali, at this time due to the very high threat of terrorist attack. " which means it is off the menu,

As the sale prices have no relation to miles flown, I'll hang out for a better deal, and see how the other sleepyheads respond.

Re: Jetstar's International Sale(s)!

This is actually the first HNL sale since a year ago (excluding friend for $4). Finally, but still 800return, JQ can do better(ie 700 return!). Some Great domestic bargains there, especially from SYD to the likes of OOL, BNE and from AVV to SYD. Im now all booked up!

Re: Jetstar's International Sale(s)!

I just picked up 2 x Per-DPS-Per Jetsaver tickets in Feb 09 for $820 all up ..that's including all fees/taxes..

I thought it was a good deal..pity there's no FF's or extra baggage, allowance, just QP on the way out... nevermind...Are there any other QP Gold member benefits available to me?

Thought they were flying A330-200's but alas no...looks like an A320..does that mean avoid window seats in row 9?

..Not prepared to pay $60 for extra legroom so looking for good seats..
Suggestions anyone?

Re: Jetstar's International Sale(s)!

I couldnt believe it when I got the email re the Japan sale fares, having just booked Jetstar OOL-KIX return in November for $1000 pp all up. I thought that was pretty good at the time but these fares are half this! Just booked for an additional person to travel with us (at this rate I can afford to take an additional staff member!) and got the same flight for just over $500 - Jetsaver fare including the CC surcharge.

Wow! The actual fare component was $97 one way!! They can't be making money at those prices...

Cheers

I'm thinking about taking up this offer ex CNS if I can get reasonably priced dom flights ADL > CNS > ADL. The fare component CNS > KIX is $5
