Re: Jetstar's Asia to Australia sales

Seems like a bit of a strange sale. Anyway, KL-Syd priced out closer to $AU300 which is not unusual.

Re: Jetstar's Asia to Australia sales

As I posted on Flyertalk:

KUL-SYD AI is around 700 MYR = 235 AUD
BKK-MEL AI is around ~7500 THB = 270 AUD

NB, it is a saving of around 500 MYR on the normal KUL-SYD jetsaver fare, which is around 170 AUD.

Not their cheapest KUL originating fare, but about par with the Air Asia X KUL-OOL sale.

Re: Jetstar's Asia to Australia sales

HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM

SGN-SYD US$134 -> US$252 AI = AU$286

* On sale now until 7.59pm (Vietnam Standard Time) Monday 10 December 2007, unless sold out prior. Sale may be extended. Flights are one way and are subject to availability (not available on all flights or days). Fares are non-refundable and name changes are not permitted.

Fares exclude SFTs (surcharges, fees and taxes), meals, refreshments and entertainment (available at extra charge). Additional charges also apply for payment by credit or charge card and for telephone bookings (08 910 5375 or 1800 1561).

All travel is subject to the Jetstar Conditions of Carriage. Before you book an international flight check any visa requirements.

NB, usual price is US$268... I find the fares by seeing a new drop down from:
Jetstar - Cheap Flights!

And by AI I mean All-In, not Air India.

One question, futaris, how do you book the fares ex Asia without going to the Jetstar.com site (and getting the Aussie ripoff prices)?

To me it seems Futaris' post was after that sale has closed.
