Re: Tiger's domestic sale(s)

Well, I'm happy Tigers CBR service is often full, because Ansett, Compass and Rexx did it tough, big big QF bias - or used to be in this town. Even Virgin encountered CBR to SYD resistance for a while. I just don't know who is filling the $109 seats plus plus for an under frilly airline. Maybe 2 services means better odds of seeing something attractive. As Greyhound bus to Melbourne is also full, Tiger can't be tapping the huge latent demand.

As for the inconvenience fee, I believe both Virgin and QF allow some transfer or bpay. so their advertised rates are gettable. Tiger to my knowledge, does not ( I would be happy to book, and then pay cash at the counter) - but I don't think this possible. Intent to mislead, or misleading advertising , is also ACCC territory.

May be legal, but still on the nose.
However Virgin is earning my wrath - their midday sales are elusive, even >May 2009.

Re: Tiger's domestic sale(s)

The other no-no Tiger does is not provide a proper tax invoice. I am surprised the ATO haven't got onto them yet, because it is impossible for any business to withhold 48.5%.

Probably because its the only airline with consistently cheap flights from canberra. Good for when youre not travelling for work from canberra.

Ive got a ticket with them, but am thinking of just going on qantas again, cause of excess luggage.

I am flying them to Canberra and back in 1 weeks time. I purchased the fare for 29.95 each way, for a daytrip, and now its gone up to $110!. Must be filling fast. I am only a "daytrip" or leisure traveller, so I have used Tiger so much over the past year. I am awaiting their first birthday sale in November 23, as mabye some $9.95 fares are coming....
