Hmm, isn't the mouse with the famous ears the iconic front-man for one of the most successful marketing behemoths ever to extract huge amounts of finances from millions of people and leaving them all smiles and wanting to come back again real soon? Someone that children of all ages wants to visit over and over again.

I guess I must have a different image conjured up in my mind by the term "Mickey Mouse". To me it means slick, well organised, well rehearsed and well delivered, colourful, flamboyant, something for which people are willing to pay a premium price beyond the reality of value, something from which you don't want to leave and to which people want to return, an experience that removes you from reality and delivers you into a "toon town" where anything can happen and where the villain always loses.

My image of something being "Mickey Mouse" and my image of JetStar are not aligned .
