Sunday Aug 6th is great for me; free all day 'til 7pm flight to MEL!
I'll leave it for the locals in regard to venuw....
Sunday 6th sounds good. Venue is up to the locals but please stay away from goat tracks.
We probably need to book 2 tee times, as there are 5-6 confirmed starters, and I feel it would be best to tee-off around 9am-10am. This will give us time to have a quite drink or two after the game and allow 2 interstate visitors plenty of time to get to airport for 7:00pm departure.
As much as I would like to be there, and let you guys laugh at my golfing prowess (or lack thereof), I can't really justify it at this point in time. But be warned, I may make an appearance should another golfing day appear on the calendar.
As you can see from the interest on this thread it is very hard to organise and getting people to commit to the event. The interstate visitors almost outnumber the locals.
If everyone is still talking to each other after the inaugural golf challenge then next year's venue could well be MEL or SYD. May get more people interested!

I would love to come and meet you all and have a bit of fun on a golf course as well.. However, I have baby sitting duties while my wife is on holidays.. Next time...
I am sure Lindsay will post where the 19th hole festivities will take place once the booking is finalised. I hope this is close to the 737th hole you mention.
Since it is a fun day Mal, I think you should join us for the game of golf as well. Playing ability is not taken into account. Everyone is welcome. And we promise we will only laugh once per shot.
