    Thanks for the link 980758 and welcome to AFF...

    As much as it's a free card, it won't benefit me as the points earned are very proprietary. Also I also question the value of points needed to redeem flights.

    Yes availabilty of redemption is another factor, but based solely on points v points basis, this card won't be suitable for me.

    Looks like The Qantas American Express Card is now more appealing since it also has no annual fee, 5000 points, etc.

    With this card can one transfer to any FF scheme or does it have to be QF (or indeed can you transfer points at all?)

    I don't believe you can transfer points at all!

    Use them with their own TA's:
