Some have reported success, but given the flights/hotel rooms attached to the card it is a more difficult proposition.
Also, the platinum credit card itself, as far as I am aware (having one), won't by itself help you get points to QFF after April.

Anyone managed to get the $395 AMEX Platinum Credit Card annual fee waived (or at least discounted?)
I previously had the AMEX Rewards Maximiser gold card ($192 annul fee) wavied each year - However I just got rid of that card given I can't transfer the points I earn with it over to QFF post-April.

Air: QFF Gold (LTS)
Hotel: A|Club: Gold, PC Plat, Hyatt GP: Plat, HH: Silver, SPG: Gold
Car: Avis preferred, Hertz #1 Club Gold
I have a Platinum Credit Card, but haven't tried waiving the fee so I can't help you there.
It was also my understanding that transfers to Qantas were ceasing and that only the Platinum Charge Card (and Qantas co-branded products like the Qantas Amex Card) had this option. Of course I am happy to be proven wrong! Actually come to think of it I don't really care if I am, Qantas isn't likely to be getting my MR points either way![]()
Just rang Amex and they confirm the Amex Platinum Credit Card CANNOT transfer rewards points to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program - I thought it was eligible! Oh well post April I guess I won't be needing this card anymore either...glad I got the promo 30,000 points given to me in time....
I believe only the 'charge' card can still maintain the ability to QFF transfer.

I've got an Rewards Maximiser and was wondering what to do with the card from March on. I haven't tried asking for a fee waiver, so how much would I need to spend per annum for them to make it fee free?
Do you just ask them for the fees to be waived or do you have to threaten to cancel the card in order for them to offer the waiver?
Been wondering the exact same thing..... have a Platinum Credit Card and I have written to AMEX THREE TIMES now over the past couple of years asking if there will be a future option to transfer points to AA. Not a peep in reply. Couldn't give a rats apparently!
Yeah, I know about SPG but the transfer rate isn't all that hot. Guess that is my only option though, not keen on giving points to Qantas.
I find it's better to use their own words against them.
If they will waive the Gold fee but not the platinum - get them to waive $192 off your platinum card. You'll find this will be easier than getting the entire thing waived (I'd suggest you would need to be spending a lot, or carrying a large balance from month to month (+interest)) to have it waived.

Or get a platinum charge card, then they waive your credit card fee'sbut thats a 900 dollar card.
Good luck, i like you managed to get the gold rewards maximiser fee waived prior to a plat card since then no chance and no point asking i did not think.
