American Expres Gold Choices Credit Card - Annual Fee Free and Free expresso machine

Got a mail from American Express today. Not seems to be targetted but they are offering No Annual Fee Amex Gold Choices (NOT Ascent) Credit Card with free enrollment of Choices, as well as free Delonghi expresso coffee machine.

Normally it would cost $49 per year if you applying normally here:
https://www212.americanexpress.com/d...00defaad94RCRD

Not sure if people are interested in Choices since points are not transferrable to airlines but with no annual fee ever it is probably not a bad card to get ..... (Now that none of the citibank card no annual fee offer link actually works)

On the plus side, the card still includes TravelKey so the points can be redeemed for travel in that way (and redemption through TravelKey is definitely better value than through a Qantas AnySeat award, that's for sure!).

I also got this offer in the mail. If you are interested in QFF points you should stick with the Qantas American Express card (the base card, not the premium or ultimate one) which is also free. You earn points at 1 per $1 but they are swept automatically to your QFF account each month so you can't redeem on anything but miles. From memory you get 5000 points bonus miles on first spend.

Interesting...

How many other cards do you hold with Amex?

How can I apply? Are there a link or could you scan the application form to me?
Is it targetted?

I tried to attach the form but the website wouldn't let me attach it to more than 97K file (the file size is 123K and is PDF, would be even bigger if it is in JPEG/Mono BMP etc) .... Even zipping doesn't work .....

Re: American Expres Gold Choices Credit Card - Annual Fee Free and Free expresso mach

Got the Gold Choices card yesterday in the mail. The letter states Annual Fee - NIL, enrolment of Choices Programme - NIL, supplementary card fee - NIL.

Now that Qantas AmEx Credit Card has changed to $149 annual fee (which is hideously expensive), and Citibank has no new offer for No Annual Fee Gold card, this offer is probably the best offer for no annual/reward fee credit cards right now (along with current No Annual Fee Blue Sky AmEx card offer).

Based on what the current Amex direction is taking (see Qantas Amex Credit Card), looks like sooner or later there will be no more "No Annual Fee" offers .......

Now I am just waiting for the expresso machine. Not sure when it will arrive and how much it is worth .....

Also got my new AMEX Gold Credit card from the post today. Same as what you have, no annual fee and no enrollment fee to Choice.

Not sure whether I would get the free Espress Machine though. I have made my first spend tonight in Woolworths.

Good to hear that you got the card as well. I spent it on Coles today just to make sure it is activated ..... Now awaiting for the espresso machine ...... I wonder which model it is and whether it is any good .....
