It all adds up to give you a free trip... This promo did not make sense from the begining. As I said before I prefer the things clear and now that we know there is a limit at least we dont need to go Crazy...

Look at the Home Lending offers at QFF web... you can make a few 100,000's points by getting a $700,000 loan and the points are staged in sever years... they add Xpoints every $100,000 you owe to the bank at the begining of every year...

What are they going to say if people can get a even better deal just by buying $10 of fuel every day and spread your weekly shopping to split your purchases... The Numbers did not add up from day one...

Correct me if I am wrong but Amex now offers Any Flight any Seat for MR program... The QFF points will later only be available to QFF card holders... QFF seat are way cheaper to get than (Any seat any flight) ... therefore I assume the cost for Amex to get Free tickets for MR will be astronomical if everyone could get unlimited points. Remember Points do not expire so you can use them any time in the future.

Actually, I wouldn't be too surprised if some AMEX employees involved in this "stuff-up" are clearing their desks right about now!

Well its good for AFF isn't as It has turned me into a long time lurker (quite a few years - though I did join when it first started years ago but I couldn't remember my details) to an active participant

Re: 10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

People are reporting that they are enrolling by phone as late as yesterday and being told there is no cap.
As per previous, confirmed today over the phone, and had it re-verified by the Amex CSR for good measure.

FWIW, Amex do have a record of the cards that got sent out, this was confirmed when the CSR actually told me what promotion I was eligible for, maybe the online promo might have its conditions changed, who knows, who really cares.

In regards to buying packets of match's for 75c or individual mushrooms, I would be vary wary of doing this. If you read the membership rewards T&C (the full version) there are no less than 5 points which deem this against there "fair card use policy", also, there are a lot of retailers that have minimum purchase amounts, including the big supermarket chains (I believe $5 is pretty much a benchmark minimum requirement), this minimum can be waived, but as a norm it is enforced.

It's usually the smaller outlets that have the silly $5/$10/$20 min spend

Coles/Kmart/Officeworks etc etc, Woolworths, 7/11 have no min spend for EFTPOS/Credit Cards

Please know your facts before making such statements.

Having worked for Woolworths recently in a management capacity I can assure you there is a minimum spend on credit cards (Amex & Diners specifically).

We are not talking about EFTPOS or Credit Cards in general, we are discussing Amex cards, hence my statement
