    From this thread on flyertalk:

    Qantas Airways

    Premium Economy Class1
    W, T
    100% + 10% bonus EQM/RDM
    1.501 EQP

Premium Economy Classes W & T mileage accrual effective 1 June, 2008 (inclusive)

I don't think it is possible to redeem for Premium Economy though.

Re: Premium Economy Classes on QF now earn in AA

There are only a few flights that are supposed to have Premium Economy:

Qantas Premium Economy is on sale now for selected flights from Sydney to Los Angeles for departures from 14 November 2008 and from Melbourne to Los Angeles for departures from 19 December 2008. Qantas Premium Economy is also on sale for selected flights from Sydney to London, Singapore, Bangkok and Johannesburg, and from Melbourne to London, Singapore and Hong Kong. Qantas Premium Economy is on sale for selected flights from Sydney to Hong Kong for departures commencing from August 2008, and will be available on the Qantas A380 which is scheduled for delivery in August 2008.
Bookings in W class (Prem Economy Saver) seem worthwhile (to LHR at least):

    SYD-LHR Return for ~$4600, i.e. AU$0.14/EQP.

    SYD-LHR oneway for ~$2800 is 10573 mi, and would earn 15860 EQP, 11630 EQM, i.e. AU$0.18/EQP.

    SYD-LAX oneway for $2563 is 7488 mi, i.e. AU$0.22/EQP.
    MEL-LAX oneway for $2635 is 7921 mi, i.e AU$0.22/EQP.

    SYD-MEL-SIN oneway for $1435 is 4182 mi, i.e. AU$0.22/EQP.
    SYD-SIN oneway for $1410 is 3907 mi, i.e. AU$0.24/EQP.

    SYD-BKK oneway for $1639 is 4662 mi, i.e. AU$0.23/EQP.

    MEL-HKG oneway for $1712 is 4590 mi, i.e. AU$0.25/EQP.

    SYD-JNB oneway for $3194 is 6862 mi,, i.e. AU$0.31/EQP.

Might have to consider a SYD-LHR trip to get me to AA Plat, as I need 16310 EQP, so a BNE-SYD and SYD-LHR would do the trick.

NB, for comparison can someone tell me the B class fare for SYD-LHR?

BLEE1Y is now $3,011++. It gives a maximum permitted mileage of 14,737.

    TLSS1Y2 is $3592+++

You can fly out of NZ on a B fare and it is a mini round the world fare with lots of different possible routings, including South America. BLEE1Y out of AKL is AUD2,962+++

    from Asia:

    SIN-LHR return = 3639 SGD ~ 2200 AUD = 2950 AUD / ~23000 EQP = AUD 12.8c/EQP
    BKK-LHR return = 86100 THB ~ 2900 AUD = 2900 AUD / ~17900 EQP = AUD 16.2c/EQP

And maybe only AU$500-$600 more than flying B class.

People travelling B class I would suggest tend to be doing it for the flexibility and availability rather than a desire to buy expensive tickets.

Comparing B against the restricted T fares hardly seems an appropriate comparison
