I had posted a thread here about the AAward hold 8May and subtly pointing to the fact that there would be AAdvantage awards changes loaded this weekend. Was that thread zapped for some reason? Or technical glitch?

Don't worry your post was not removed because it was inappropriate! Last night something crashed on the server, and a backup from last Sunday had to be restored, see http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/comm...sts-17514.html (Lost Posts) ....
