I'm in, and have already messaged admin - my current membership expires 11/07, and will need to renew then (unless I can sneak in the extra 150 SC's to get back to Gold again - I am sick of being a mere Silver).

Hmm, I have never received such a message ... didn't even know it happened .
We are now pretty close and just a few applicants short. So, if you are interested in being a "founding" member of our Qantas Club Scheme, read what's involved HERE. And then if you are interested follow the instructions. We just need a few more committed souls..."
Happy to advise that my soul is committed to being a founding member....
I have been a Qantas club member since 1993. My status has dropped back to Bronze (I think?). If I transferred my membership would this achieve the following?
push you another step towards the critical mass of 10?
help me qualify for the corporate rate?
involve any transfer fees?
involve any loss of existing privileges?

Please check with Admin's original and subsequent posts, but my understanding is
1. Yes
2. It would be at the Corporate Rate (i.e. $200 discount)
3. Don't know - I suspect not as you are alrady a QC member
4. AFAIK no.
Doug
1. If you are already a QC member, then at present it doesn't help as you need 10 new members to initially start the corporate group.
2. Once the group is established, you will be eligable for the corporate rate
3. No
4. No
