Re: d/ft worth ac
if you are a Qantas Club member and departing on an AA flight from DFW, you will have access to the AAdmirals Club lounges. There are lounges in each of the terminals from wjich AA operate, but the Terminal D lounge is the best and you can move between terminals without going through security by using the new Sky Train (or Sky Link or whatever they call it).
Note that as a Qantas Club member you will need to show your QC card and boarding pass when entering the lounge. And be sure to collect some drinks coupons for use at the bar. These can even be used to exchange for a half-decent coffee at the Terminal 4 lounge.
Yes - you can go to the AA Admirals Club. The only thing to plan is how to get there and how much time you will need to get to your gate. The little monorail system they have going is great but you will still be doing a fair bit of walking.
If I can find a link to the terminal I will paste it here later.
(Edit - why did I bother to even reply ........ this forum is like a 100-player game of Snap!)
thanks guys. i have a brother who lives in the d/fw area. is he allowed to come through the terminals. my thinking is that it may be just departing passengers allowed in the dep. terminals. i know i'm allowed 2 guests in the ac. many thanks again for your help, trish

The US only allows passengers with boarding passes into the "sterile" departures area.
All AC's that I have been to are on the sterile side - just like the Qantas Clubs in Australia.
Your brother may be able to get an airside access pass from AA, but I doubt they'll issue one unless you can find a very good reason.
Otherwise, perhaps a refundable fare or 'doctoring' an online checkin boarding pass? (Not that I recommend these, but they are ways)...

Actually, this probably doesn't apply in your situation; but if your brother was flying, not you and you wished to meet in an A/C "for Business Purposes" it seems possible. But you need to make prior arrangements. It may be worth trying anyway.
Q: I would like to meet someone at the airport, but I'm not flying today. Can I get through Security to get to the Admirals Club lounge?
A: No. However, when you are not traveling and plan to meet someone for business purposes, you must call 24 hours in advance, to the specific lounge you will be using. We will arrange for Security clearance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to allow you to get to the lounge. This opportunity is available for Admirals Club members only, and you will be required to show your Admirals Club membership card, along with a government-issued photo ID.

I think you need to be an Admirals Club member to do that. I don't think it is available to OneWorld FF program members.
