CDG Lounge

Flew back from CDG the other day on a QF code on Air France metal and was suprised that as a QF Gold I was not allowed access to the Air France lounge. Surely QF should sort this out if they are going to offer a codeshare flight from CDG.

I thought it was crap (especially since the AB's didn't make the final and I was at the airport 5 hours early).

Re: CDG Lounge

Unfortunately, this is all in accordance with the rules.

QC, SG, and WP grants access to lounges in ports that QF flies to but does not operate it's own lounge, but not where only codeshare services operate:

^^ Lounges are not available in ports that are only serviced by Qantas codeshare flights.

Re: CDG Lounge

CDG's been a problematic airport regarding lounges for ages.

Yeah it's annoying, but not much can be done about it.

Re: CDG Lounge

Agree that the current arrangement is not ideal but isn't there a bar or lounge that you would be able to pass away a few hours?

Re: CDG Lounge

For European flights, BA lounge (I think it was jointly operated with AF?? Don't quote me though) at CDG was not really worth it when I was there about 6 months ago. They only had biscuits and small madelaines and drinks on offer. So even if you did get access to BA lounge (I was flying BA), you don't get much for European flights.

Yes, it is the AF lounge and as such no OneWorld access. BA only permits their own Silver and Gold members and those travelling in the Club Europe cabin. And it really is a poor excuse for a lounge, including warm beer when I was last there.
