Access to CX lounge?

Hi,

I am travelling Melbourne to Osaka via Hong Kong in a couple of months on Cathay Pacific and was wondering if anyone can tell me if i have any chance of lounge access as a Qantas Club Silver? I don't think i will be able to make Gold in time and an only travelling in Economy

Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Access to CX lounge?

Sadly I think not - you would only be able to access if flying oneworld with Oneworld status of Sapphire/Emerald or flying in a premium cabin.

If you know dates and post them in the "QP meetings" you might find that someone else might be there at similar times and willing to guest you in.

How far away from Gold will you be? Is it worth doing a quick mileage/status earning trip? It's not just the lounge access but the extra points earning etc.

Cheers

S

Re: Access to CX lounge?

you certainly will not have any lounge entitlement unless flying in business or first class. I am sure there are people who have managed to talk their way into lounges, but ...
