not to mentioned their slow service by their skyward!
I had enough dealing with too many stupid people behind their phone service.
Just noticed the new card on the Citibank website at https://www.citibank.com.au/AUGCB/AP...i_platinum.htm - if you fly Emirates, or just looking for a new airline to switch to it looks pretty impressive for $199 per year (though the $90 per year on any extra cards is a bit steep). features include:

There is already a recent thread on this..

Has someone done the math?
Combining the credit card with a flight (eg Syd -> Mel) yields ~390 miles (assuming $120 blue zone fare).
And is there any sign of Skywards members getting access to the lounge?
Just got a letter in the post from Emirates/Skywards/Citibank:
If a take a Platinum citibank Mastercard, $199 annual fee gets:
- 1.5 Skyward miles per $1
- Lounge access once a year, to an Australian lounge, before a paid EK flight
- Complimentary chauffeur-driven transfer to and from any Australian airport before a paid EK flight - once a year.
Not quite worth $199, IMO, but some may find this good value.
Cheers,
Will
