I think 35 Ringgit is a fair and reasonable price for the KLIA Ekspress train. It takes 27 mins so is about 50% faster than a teksi, and costs about a third of the teksi fare.

Note that airline cheak-in at KL Sentral is only available if you are flying with Malaysian Airlines, Cathay Pacific or Royal Brunei Airlines, and check-in closes 2 hours before scheduled departure time. Other airlines require check-in at the airport. But there is plenty of luggage storage on the train so its not a big issue.
