April last year I was travelling HKG - MEL with my wife and one daughter and my other daughter was travelling HKG - BNE. (All on Red E deal tickets)
I asked and I was allowed all three as guests in the HKG QP J lounge rather than the one into the F lounge. (daughters are adults)
We happily agreed
..... a bye line was that the three of us for MEL were all upgraded to J
at the gate and the other daughter to BNE had a three hour delay
